Walid Jumblatt hands PSP leadership to his son Taymour

After leading the Progressive Socialist Party for 46 years, Druze leader Walid Jumblatt announced his resignation as party chief on 25 May 2023; at the PSP general conference in Ain Zhalta his son, MP Taymour Jumblatt (41), was elected unopposed and consecrated as PSP leader on 25 June 2023 — a dynastic transfer of the party, the Druze za'ama and the Mukhtara seat.
